Breast cancer ? and the organizations that support its cause?has certainly made news headlines this year. But this Tuesday, national and local news anchors are gathering together in hopes to raise even more awareness for the disease that affects more than 226,870 U.S. women each year.
Newsbabes Bash for Breast Cancer will take place on June 19 from 7 pm until 9 pm at the newly restored Howard Theatre. The evening ? hosted by local news celebrities like Eun Yang, Pamela Brown and NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent, Andrea Mitchell ? will benefit George Washington University?s Mammovan.
Cocktails, hors d?oeuvres and a pink dessert bar by Georgetown Cupcake, Dolci Gelati and Sweet Signatures. Tickets to the benefit are $75 and can be purchased at dcnewsbabes.org.
