Independence Energy Corp. Announces Changes to Management Team -- Experienced CEO to Lead New Development

SEAL BEACH, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/09/12 -- Independence Energy Corp. (OTCBB: IDNG) (the "Company" or "Independence Energy") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Greg C. Rotelli as the new CEO and President of the Company. Mr. Rotelli has been a member of the Company's board of directors since November 2011 and brings significant public company management and resource exploration experience to the Company.

Over the last 30 years, Mr. Rotelli has held lead positions in both technology start-ups as well as with established public companies, including several oil/gas and precious metal exploration and development companies. Since January 2000, Mr. Rotelli has been a principal of Pacific Coast Capital Group, LLC, a privately owned consulting group focused on oil and gas, mining, and financial services.

Prior to his focus on the natural resources sector, Mr. Rotelli held several senior management positions with technology and new media companies, including; COO of Direct Stock Market, an online investment bank for emerging growth venture capital financing; Senior V.P. of Marketing for System Integrators, a newspaper technology company whose systems were utilized by numerous well-known clients, including the Financial Times London, Reuters World Wide Wire Service, Oftenposten, Le Monde, the Los Angeles Times, and many others; Senior V.P. of US Search, the largest people and background search company on the Internet; and various other new media, technology and finance companies.

Mr. Rotelli holds a BA degree in Classics from Brown University in Rhode Island. He was also deemed a Distinguished Scholar at Regent University in Virginia, where he received his MBA in Marketing and Management in 1985.

The company also wishes to announce the resignation of Mr. Bruce A. Thompson as President, CEO, Secretary, and director of the Company, and wishes to thank and acknowledge him for his valuable contributions to the Company.
