Pets of the week ? Merrimack Valley ? EagleTribune.com, North ...

Cream Puff is a 12-year-old spayed female miniature pinscher, (mini-pin) dog. She came to the sheler from a hoarding situation where she was not well taken care of.

She is good with cats and other dogs, and would do best in a home with gentle children.

She is a lap dog and is playful and affectionate. She came to the shelter with another mini-pin dog Fritter, a 10-year-old neutered male, (not pictured). Though they came into the shelter together, they do not have to be adopted together.

Cream Puff and Fritter are two of the many pets available for adoption at the MSPCA shelter at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway in Methuen. The shelter is open Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. It is closed on Monday.

Baby Face is a 5-year-old sweet and well-mannered lady. She is quiet, wants to be around you, but needs to be approached slowly. Her foster mom cannot stop talking about what a wonderful cat she has been in the foster home.

She loves to be petted, and her favorite thing is to rub her neck and check. Not one to be held, she makes up for it in so many other ways. Baby Face will however come to you and sit quietly in your lap. "Baby" as her foster mom calls her, will be a most welcome addition to an older, quieter family.

Please visit all our animals on the Salem Animal Rescue League website, sarl-nh.org.

Get the details on and even purchase a ticket for their BMW Bicycle Raffle on the website. Or visit to SARL, 4 SARL Drive in Salem, during business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ask for Joleen or Patricia.
